Job Description

Teaching, Learning, and Assessment:

  • Conduct English teaching lessons to secondary level students.
  • Develop and deliver curriculum to help students achieve confidence and proficiency in English, familiar with WIDA, Slate, CAT4 will be the advantage.
  • Encourage critical and creative thinking through inquiry, observation, and experimentation.
  • Prepare detailed written reports on each student’s progress, including parent conference reports and references for further education as needed.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of students’ learning and development.
  • Conduct effective parent conferences, providing detailed assessments and relevant examples of student work.
  • Collaborate with co-teachers to discuss individual student needs and daily curriculum planning.
Other Duties
  • Attend and actively participate in staff and team meetings.
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Communicate positively and professionally with parents.
  • Foster a cooperative and respectful relationship with colleagues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Leadership Team to ensure program compliance and quality service.
  • Monitor student attendance and follow up on absences appropriately.
  • Develop and follow departmental syllabuses and schemes of work based on the relevant curriculum.
  • Prepare lesson materials and mark students’ work according to Cambridge, departmental, and school assessment policies.
  • Set and mark homework in line with departmental and school policies, maintaining high expectations for student performance.
Who We Are Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Social Sciences or higher from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in English.
  • Commitment to an educational environment that emphasizes academic rigor and excellence in teaching.
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum pedagogy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Sensitivity toward cultural diversities.
  • Self-motivated with a high energy level.
  • Demonstrates flexibility, adaptability, and initiative.
  • A reflective practitioner committed to lifelong learning and a solution-focused mindset.
Required working hours for full-time position
  • ABLE TO WORK on the educational institution operation hours ie. Weekday nights and Saturday.
