Research Engineer/Senior Research Engineer [Digital Manufacturing Division (DMD) / Cyber-Physical Production System (CPPS)], SIMTech
Job Description:
CPPS group is seeking a highly motivated, independent and creative research engineer to deliver impactful and innovative AI-based digital technologies for predictive/prescriptive analytics and decision support. The candidate will work with a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers to translate problems faced by industry into opportunities to develop and deploy deep tech in AI.
The key roles & responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Co-develop AI models to enhance and automate decision making
- Work with a team of scientist and engineers to execute deliverables for industry projects
- Engage companies to understand their challenges and translate to research collaborations in AI
- Contribute to research and development in Cyber-Physical Production System technologies, including technology development, live production environment test-bedding and technology transfer of robust algorithms to industry
- Understand autonomous manufacturing domain and provide innovative solutions to industry problems in this area
- Familiarity with Industry 4.0 standards and concepts is an advantage
Job Requirement:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Candidates with an ambition and attitude for cutting-edge research are welcome to apply.
- Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical analysis, and data preprocessing techniques
- Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries, such as TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Quality focused and customer-centric
- Can-do attitude and able to work with different needs of various stakeholders
- Proactive team player and technically motivated to solve problems innovatively
