Assistant Manager / Senior Assistant Manager, Business Development and Marketing - Bukit Batok
Established in 1992, the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information (WKWSCI) is the only full-fledged communication school in Singapore and is a world-class centre of excellence with an international faculty, state-of-the-art research laboratories, and global institutional affiliations.
To augment our manpower resources in the School, we are seeking for an experienced professional to join the Academic Team as Assistant Manager/Senior Assistant Manager, Business Development and Marketing. Reporting to the Academic Lead, the incumbent shall assist in the business development, outreach and recruitment functions for our undergraduate, graduate and continuing education programmes.
The key responsibilities include:
- Drive the business growth for WKWSCI’s Graduate and Continuing Education (CE) programmes.
- Obtain good understanding of market demand and trends as well as competitors for postgraduate and continuing education offerings.
- Represent WKWSCI to articulate the value proposition for graduate and CE programmes to senior management of corporations and alumni.
- Formulate and execute engagement plans to open new markets and forge industry/corporate/alumni partnerships.
- Drive lead conversion from leads generated through marketing campaigns and inquiries.
- Work with relevant graduate and continuing education stakeholders in the school to design new CE/executive programmes offerings for external organisations and alumni.
- Identify new markets for recruitment of undergraduate international students.
- Develop and nurture relationships with prospective Institute of Higher Learning to market undergraduate programmes, explore potential scholarships and admission opportunities for their students.
- Establish cohesive and effective communication across all platforms to meet the strategic objectives of student recruitment.
- Develop marketing strategy to promote the brand and positioning of our undergraduate, graduate and CE programmes.
- Develop and manage marketing campaigns and events for student outreach and to meet recruitment goals, both locally and internationally.
The key requirements include:
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, preferably with at least 6-8 years of work experience in business development and marketing. Experience in education/ training industry would be advantageous.
- Experience in implementing sales and marketing tactics, support proposal development, monitor, review and report on progress.
- Experience with the leads management process, database management and customer relationship management as tracking and reporting tools.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to create persuasive and compelling messages.
- Good interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders and build relationships and networks.
- Team player with a strong ability to engage and influence internal and external stakeholders effectively.
- Strong project management ability to drive multiple work streams and priorities with competing deadlines.
- Strong administrative and planning skills, meticulous with analytical and problem-solving skills and a keen eye for details.
- Ability to quickly adapt to evolving business needs and changing priorities.
- Positive attitude with customer-service orientation.
- Technology savviness and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications and database management tools.
