Responsibilities- Assist in developing and implementing credit risk management strategies and policies in line with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate creditworthiness of potential borrowers through comprehensive financial analysis, credit scoring models, and assessment of collateral and guarantees.
- Conduct thorough credit risk assessments on new and existing customers, reviewing credit applications and financial statements to determine credit limits, terms, and conditions.
- Monitor and analyzing credit exposure and portfolio performance, identifying and reporting potential credit risks and deviations from established credit policies.
- Assist in implementing effective credit risk monitoring tools and systems to track and manage credit exposures, including early warning indicators and credit risk metrics.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as underwriters, relationship managers, and collections teams, to provide credit risk insights and recommendations for credit decisions and collections strategies.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging credit risks, and assess their impact on the credit portfolio.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and internal credit policies and procedures.
- Assist in preparing and presenting credit risk reports to senior management and other stakeholders, highlighting key risk trends, portfolio performance, and recommendations for risk mitigation.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, such as credit bureaus, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certification in risk management is a plus.
- Min. 3 to 5 years of experience in banking, with a focus on Credit Risk Management in Corporate Banking.
- Proven experience in credit risk management, preferably in a financial institution or lending environment.
- In-depth knowledge of credit risk assessment methodologies, credit scoring models, and underwriting principles.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to credit risk management.
- Proficient in financial analysis, including the evaluation of financial statements, cash flow analysis, and financial ratios.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make sound credit risk decisions.
- Solid understanding of credit risk monitoring tools and systems, and experience in implementing and utilizing them effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
