Automation Engineer (Siemens & Citect)
Overview:
The key objective of the Automation Engineer for the Siemens & Citect platforms is primarily managing automation systems by control system design, specification, development, testing and commissioning for manufacturing industries within the ASEAN region.The role includes developing new and improving or upgrading existing automation systems used in the manufacturing processes of customers.
Responsibilities:
- Execution & management of automation projects ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within specifications, and within budget.
- Responsible for control system design, specifications, programming, testing, and start up assistance.
- Implement code modifications under documented change control.
- Investigate and provide technical advice and support to manufacturing and other engineering disciplines.
- Support operations with responses to technical queries.
- Partner with different disciplines to deliver projects.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience on the Siemens S7 with TIA Portal & Simatic Manager AND Citect SCADA.
- Experience in complete project implementations using Siemens S7 and WinCC as well as Citect SCADA is required.
- Working knowledge with Siemens S7-400 and S7-1500 family of controllers is required.
- Experience in project implementations with ABB 800xA will be preferred.
- SCADA experience with Wonderware InTouch, Rockwell FTView, Inductive Automation is also favorable.
- Exposure to Intellution iFIX or FIX32 will be an added advantage.
- Must be experienced in control applications in process industries.
- Fluent in the English language.
- Flexibility to support team members and customers during off-hours when necessary.
- Willingness to learn and travel on a regular basis within the ASEAN region.
