About the Company:

Our client is a leading provider of corporate and fund administration services. As they continue to expand and with a strong focus on delivering tailored solutions, they are looking for an experienced Manager / Senior Manager, Fund Accounting & Administration to lead fund accounting operations, enhance client relationships, and drive business development.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Fund Reporting & Compliance: Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, investor reports, and capital account statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Transaction Management: Ensure timely and accurate recording of fund transactions, including capital calls, distributions, fees, and investment activities.
  • Audit & Regulatory Oversight: Manage audit processes, tax filings, and regulatory reporting, ensuring full compliance with fund structures and industry regulations.
  • Client Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact for fund clients, addressing inquiries and providing financial insights.
  • Client Retention & Service Enhancement: Build and maintain strong relationships with single and multi-family offices, identifying opportunities to enhance service offerings.
  • Business Development: Develop and implement strategies to attract new clients, focusing on venture capital, private equity, and real estate funds.
  • Marketing & Networking: Collaborate on marketing materials, proposals, and presentations; represent the firm at industry events and conferences.
  • Team Leadership & Training: Mentor and train junior and mid-level accounting staff, fostering professional development and team growth.
  • Operational Efficiency & Best Practices: Identify and implement process improvements to streamline fund administration operations.
  • Technology & Automation: Leverage fund accounting software and technology solutions to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and reporting capabilities.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Additional professional certifications preferred.
  • At least 7 years of hands-on experience in fund accounting, ideally within venture capital, private equity, or real estate investment funds.
  • In-depth knowledge of fund structures, regulatory frameworks, and compliance requirements, with a strong grasp of accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP) and tax regulations relevant to fund administration.
  • Proven track record in building and maintain client relationships, serve as a trusted advisor, and drive business development initiatives to expand the firm’s client base.
  • Proficiency in fund accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to analyze financial data and generate meaningful insights.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and leadership skills, with the ability to manage teams, mentor junior staff, and work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
