About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Executive, Business Development to drive growth and expand our intermediary distribution channel. This role involves building strong relationships with agents, advisers, brokers, and key partners to enhance market reach, boost sales performance, and ensure smooth product distribution.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in identifying new business opportunities, providing training and support to partners, and collaborating with internal teams to optimize distribution strategies.

Key Responsibilities
Business Growth & Market Expansion
  • Identify, establish, and maintain strong relationships with agents, advisers, and brokers to drive business growth.
  • Implement effective business development strategies to expand market reach and enhance product penetration.
  • Analyze performance data, industry trends, and competitor activities to refine growth strategies.
  • Keep up to date with regulatory changes and provide market insights to improve distribution strategies.
Sales & Revenue Generation
  • Track sales performance, KPIs, and partner engagement to ensure business objectives are met.
  • Work closely with underwriting teams and partners to negotiate competitive terms that align with business goals.
Partner Training & Support
  • Conduct training sessions, workshops, and continuous support to equip partners with product knowledge and sales strategies.
  • Act as the primary point of contact, addressing partner concerns and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Organize engagement events to strengthen partnerships and enhance sales capabilities.
Internal Collaboration & Process Improvement
  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, underwriting, and product teams to align business strategies with product offerings.
  • Provide feedback to internal teams to enhance products, processes, and sales performance.
  • Streamline distribution operations to improve partner experience and satisfaction.
  • Assist with additional tasks as required by the Manager, Head of Department, or Leadership Team.
What You Bring
  • Diploma or degree in Insurance, Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in business development, sales, or distribution management within the insurance industry.
  • Strong knowledge of general insurance products and intermediary distribution channels.
  • General Insurance certifications preferred
