Geylang - Senior Manager, Sales & Marketing

You will be working in the business development department of Wee Hur Hospitality.
This department is responsible for:
- Revenue management of our PBSA business across all our funds,
- Maintaining healthy relationships with international student education businesses in the region,
- Ensuring that our operator performs to its highest standard from a revenue point of view.
Designation and Reporting
Your designation will be Regional Senior Manager, Sales & Marketing. You will report directly to the Head of Department. You will also be required to work closely alongside colleagues in Wee Hur Capital, which is a sister company to Wee Hur Hospitality and is responsible for sales, marketing and branding for Wee Hur’s PBSA portfolio.
Scope of Work
Your role is as follows:
China BD -- Maintain healthy relationship with existing education agents and aggregators in China by visiting them regularly
- Grow new relationships with rising stars
- Asia BD
- To build up the market presence in other key countries in Asia based on public data published by Australia
- To make appropriate recommendations to senior management on growing the team in Asia
- Manage the team’s responsibility in setting and monitoring targets for agents and aggregators
- Collection and maintenance of detailed indirect sales data
- Frequent communication to relevant departments on student feedback
- Drawing up department strategy and annual business plans
- Regular updating of senior management on progress of business plan
- Participate in regular planning for department
- To actively participate in corporate tasks/growth plans to help the organization move forward and ahead of competition
- To continuously review and update the department’s internal P&P to ensure longevity in what we do
- You might be tasked with adhoc tasks from time to time by the Head of Department to support other teams depending on workload requirements.
- At least 10 years of working experience in international education sector
- Preference for candidates who have had prior experience in managing teams of at least 2 persons
- Good competencies in excel for underwriting purposes and also reading of financial statements
- Have great interpersonal, presentation and communication skills as there is a need to communicate frequently internally and externally
- Be driven, enthusiastic and have a growth mindset with a sharp focus on continuously improving individual and department skillset
- Be able to work independently without much guidance from senior management
- Able to travel regularly for business trips
- Able to present himself/herself confidently in front of people
