The Global Program Manager – Procurement is responsible for leading and managing global procurement programs, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives. This role involves optimizing procurement operations, implementing the global procurement technology roadmap, driving cost efficiencies, enhancing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with global sourcing strategies.The position requires cross-functional collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to streamline processes and drive continuous improvement in procurement performance.
Asahi Procurement’s global platform is SAP Ariba so knowledge and experience with Ariba is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
Program/Project Management:
- Lead and drive project management of a portfolio using consistent methodologies, processes and templates.
- Implement agreed global procurement projects, ensuring alignment with AGPRO’s objectives.
- Define project goals, and milestones, tracking performance and ensuring successful execution.
- Excellent project management skills with experience in managing cross-functional teams.
- Ensure accountability and develop RACIs for all projects.
- Identify and mitigate project risks.
Partner & Stakeholder Management:
- Build and manage relationships with key partners to ensure optimal performance and collaboration.
- Work cross-functionally with finance, technology, operations, legal, and regional teams and all other relevant departments to align strategies and objectives.
- Manage and track deployment partner costs to ensure , ensuring cost savings and adherence to compliance standards.

Main purpose of the job
The primary purpose of the Global Procurement Lead: Program Management for Asahi Procurement is to orchestrate the successful implementation and execution of the procurement platforms on a global scale, ensuring seamless collaboration among teams and the effective deployment of procurement programs across diverse regions.
Accountabilities and deliverables- Implement Procurement purpose, vision, strategies and governance.
- Lead the strategic deployment of global procurement initiatives ensuring alignment with organizational goals
- Manage and lead a diverse global team, providing guidance and support to ensure cohesion and achievement of objectives
- Responsible for the delivery of the overall strategic portfolio of digital projects for Asahi Procurement per scope, to perfect quality, to timelines and on budget.
- Foster collaboration among cross-functional teams to facilitate the successful execution of procurement strategies with focus on platform deployment
- Oversee the end-to-end project management of the procurement platform deployment, from planning to execution and continuous improvement
- Promote one team spirit between all regions to enable sharing of best practices and knowledge.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with global procurement system deployment, ensuring compliance with relevant internal and external regulations. Protect reputation of Asahi by following applicable legislation.
- Establish and ensures appropriate governance in accordance with enterprise policies, practices and on behalf of the executive sponsor or senior responsible owner.
- Establish and monitor performance metrics to evaluate the success and impact of the global procurement initiatives
- Protect all company’s assets by putting in place internal control system and procedures.
- Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external to drive effective program delivery
- Advocate and foster Sustainable Procurement (including CSR) and Procurement innovation strategies and projects.
- Monitors and coordinates dependencies across the projects in the portfolio and resolves conflicts
- Develops and controls the project budgets and manages expenditure within agreed spending plans
- Implement continuous improvement of Procurement capabilities and practices in alignment with the overall Asahi strategy and external benchmarks. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the deployment programs and initiatives, optimizing efficiency and effectiveness.
