We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Commis Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will be assisting our Sous Chef in ensuring kitchen production quality, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting daily kitchen operations.

This role requires strong culinary skills, a high degree of accuracy, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments.

JOB DETAILS:
➡ Position: COMMIS CHEF➡ Location: 1 Seletar Aerospace Heights, Singapore 797547
➡ Salary: Starting from $2,200 (depending on experience)
➡ 5 Working days per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Kitchen Production:
- Work closely with direct superior to ensure kitchen production quality
- Ensure kitchen production timings are respected
- Responsible for food quality delivered at events and at the canteen
- Documentation and Procedures:
- Prepare all necessary documents for day-to-day operations
- Ensure all procedures are implemented and followed accurately
- Prepare documentation of menus (Matrix and Recipes)
- Health and Safety:
- Assist direct superior on strict implementation of HACCP principles and documentation
- Responsible for cleanliness, hygiene and food safety management for production kitchen and event prep spaces
- Control standards of cleanliness of all dry stores and overall public areas belonging to the kitchen
- Ensure workplace safety at all times both within kitchen and at events
- Team Support:
- Work on all assigned tasks from direct superior
- Report to direct superior concerning kitchen operation and challenges
- Attend regular meetings as assigned by company management
- Maintain good relationship with all departments and colleagues
- Event Support:
- Support catering and event preparation as needed
- Be willing to work flexible hours for events, including weekends and Public holidays when required
- Manage time effectively to accommodate event schedules
Requirements:
- Professional Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Technical Skills:
- Strong culinary techniques and food preparation skills
- Knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety regulations
- Basic IT Skills on MS Office or equivalent (i.e., Word, Excel)
- Familiarity with mobile applications (i.e., Google calendar, WhatsApp)
- Personal Attributes:
- Fluent English communication skills
- Meticulous and detail-oriented
- Good organizational skills
- Team player who is able to interact with all levels of staff
- Able to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
Working Conditions:
- Full Time
- 5 Days work week
- Willing to work flexible hours for events, including weekends and Public holidays when required
- Off-in-lieu and time off will be given
