Machinist (Precision Grinding) - Geylang

Job Description:

• Responsible to set-up and operates Grinding/ Surface Grinding.
• Carry out Milling & Grinding for mold-making and inserts for plastic injection.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawing.
• Operate surface grinding machine to grind high precision tool to meet specification.
• To meet the manufacturing schedule, according to job assigned. Self-inspect finished work-piece before routing to next manufacturing process.
• Carry out preventive maintenance on machining job.
• Carry out work piece inspection.
• Implement improvement on machining efficiency to increase productivity and reduce cost.
• Capable of achieving grinding precision up to 0.005mm.
• Perform any other job duties as assigned.
• Follow established safety rules and regulations.
• Maintain work area (housekeeping)

Requirements:

• Preferably Manufacturing background.
• Able to operate conventional Grinding
• Experience and knowledge in precision engineering.
• Able to read and interprets engineering/technical drawings.
• Experience in tool and die making industry will be a plus.
• Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.
• The ability work closely with others in a team orientated work environment.
• Able to work extended hours as required.
• 3-5 years of working experience in surface and form grinding machines.
• 6 days' work week.
