Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team to perform the following functions/:

• Leading the strategy, architecture, and implementation of our ORM system and data infrastructure.
• Bridge between the module/product owners and data scientists/technology partners to oversee enhancement requests and user/production support using Agile methodology
• Lead discussions with stakeholders to understand business priorities/challenges and translate them into data initiatives to enable the Operational Risk function to achieve its KPI deliverables and enhance identification, assessment, monitoring and reporting of operational risks
• Develop and co-ordinate the unit’s KPIs, track and report progress
• Co-ordinate with units to prepare updates including internal business/risk reviews, regulator’s meetings, questionnaires, etc.
• Work with operational risk controllers regionally to perform analyses of operational risk data to generate insights for the Board and senior management

• University degree with major study in Finance, Statistics, Accounting, Business Management or related quantitative disciplines
• 10-15 years of working experience in financial institutions. Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining system workflow/workbench is a plus.
• Experience in first, second or third line and familiar with operational risk management concepts and tools
• Analytical and able to identify key themes and trends from data and information for solutioning, with ability to holistically consider upstream and downstream impact
• Leadership and people management skills
• Confident, articulate and persuasive speaker with excellent presentation skills and ability to communicate with people of different seniorities
• Self-motivated individual with positive attitude to challenge status quo and explore opportunities for improvement
• Keen interest in Operational Risk Management, risk culture, new technologies and data analytics
• Good knowledge of banking products and processes and operations
