We are seeking a motivated and capable Senior Data Analyst to help drive Data/Business Intelligence initiatives.
The Senior Data Analyst is responsible for extracting meaningful insights from extensive datasets to inform data-driven business decisions. Strong understanding of data analysis, statistical methods, and data visualization is required, and this position involves working with cross-functional teams, contributing to the development of data infrastructure, and ensuring data quality and integrity.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Data Extraction and Management: Extract and transform data from various sources, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and reliability. Cleanse data and identify/rectify coding errors. Develop and maintain data pipelines and data models for analyses.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, using statistical techniques and data visualization. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Generate regular and ad-hoc reports, collaborating with stakeholders to meet their reporting needs.
- Insights and Recommendations: Cleanse and interpret complex data to provide actionable business insights. Translate data findings into operational and strategic improvements, developing recommendations to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and contribute to overall success.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, data engineers, and other stakeholders. Collaborate with management to align business and informational priorities. Communicate analytical findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Data Governance: Contribute to advancing transition toward a more data-driven culture. Abide and adhere to data governance policies in servicing data extraction or report requests, metrics and dashboards. Assess adherence to data quality standards and data governance initiatives.
- Project Management: Manage projects to ensure results are measurable, actionable, and aligned with stakeholder goals.
- Consultation: Provide professional consultation services.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and stay informed on the latest trends and advancements in data analytics. Continuously evaluate and refine existing data processes and methodologies.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in any STEM-related disciplines
- Certification(s) in any modern data visualisation platform
- 2-5 years of experience working in a data analyst role, preferably in the healthcare industry
- Proven experience wrangling large datasets and in using data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
- Proficiency in programming languages (Python, SQL) is essential
- Strong understanding of statistical methods and concepts such as hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and classification techniques.
- Experience with the ETL process and machine learning techniques would be advantageous
