About the team

Our Commercial team is a pivotal component of Doctor Anywhere. We're a tenacious group in charge of a wide range of business development and strategic partnership initiatives. Our primary job is to establish and expand our collaboration with insurance providers, healthcare agencies and corporate clients in order to provide healthcare to employees and the community.

About the Role

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Head of Employee Benefits to lead and grow our corporate health care solutions, namely, TPA (Third Party Administration) and corporate wellness business.

This role, based in Singapore, will be responsible for developing and executing the overall sales and business development strategy for our employee benefits products and services. This includes leading a multi-faceted team and engaging with key stakeholders, including insurers, brokers, and corporate clients, for both large corporate accounts and the SME markets.

A summary of the key responsibilities are as follows:

Leadership & Strategy:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales and business development strategy for Doctor Anywhere’s TPA business, driving growth and market share within the Singapore market across diverse corporate segments.
  • Lead, mentor, and coach a high-performing team of Business Development Managers and Client Managers across three distinct segments:
  • Insurer & Broker Channel: Secure new TPA accounts, renew existing contracts, and upsell value-added corporate wellness services (health screenings, vaccinations, DA Medsuites).
  • SME Sales: Target and acquire new SME clients for DA Care (Outpatient), corporate wellness services (health screenings, vaccinations, and DA Medsuites.)
  • Large Corporate Accounts & Govt. Tenders: Manage relationships with large corporations, respond to RFPs, and secure government tenders.
  • Set ambitious yet achievable revenue targets for the team and individual contributors across all segments.
  • Track performance metrics, analyze data, and provide regular reporting on progress and key insights.

Sales & Business Development:

  • Leverage your existing network and industry knowledge to build and manage a robust sales pipeline across all business segments, with a particular focus on securing large corporate accounts.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with C-level executives at insurance companies, brokers, and large corporations within the Singapore employee benefits ecosystem, demonstrating a natural ability to build rapport and trust at the highest levels.
  • Lead negotiations and secure favorable contract terms for new and existing clients, tailoring proposals to meet the unique needs of SMEs and large corporations.
  • Identify and capitalize on emerging market trends and opportunities within the Singapore employee benefits space, specifically addressing the evolving needs of SMEs.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to develop effective sales materials and go-to-market strategies tailored to the Singapore market, with segmentation for both SMEs and large corporate audiences.

Client Management:

  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention by fostering strong, long-term partnerships across all client segments.
  • Oversee the onboarding and ongoing support of new clients, providing dedicated support tailored to the specific needs of SMEs and large corporations.
  • Develop a deep understanding of client needs and proactively identify opportunities to expand the use of Doctor Anywhere’s products and services, addressing the unique demands of both SMEs and large organizations.
About you
  • Minimum of 15 years of proven experience in a senior sales and business development leadership role, with a strong emphasis on the healthcare or employee benefits industry in Singapore, consistently exceeding targets and demonstrating a natural talent for closing deals.
  • Deep understanding of the TPA business model, including insurance brokerage, corporate health plans, and value-added services (preferred).
  • Demonstrated success in securing both SME and large corporate clients within the employee benefits space.
  • A strong existing network of relationships with C-level executives at insurance companies, brokers, and large corporations within the Singapore market is preferred.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build rapport and trust with clients at all levels, particularly at the C-suite.
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively tailor messaging to diverse audiences.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • A natural leader with the ability to inspire and motivate high-performing teams.
  • A start-up attitude - you take full ownership of things that you do, willing to go out of your comfort zones and take on new challenges.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and flexible to learn new things - we’re not done growing, and heading into uncharted territories is part of the fun!
