As an Engineering Intern, you will play a vital role in assisting with the development, testing, and securing of systems, applications, and networks. You will work alongside a team of experienced engineers, gaining hands-on experience in both the engineering and cybersecurity domains, while contributing to real-world projects.
You’ll make an impact by:
- Support in Engineering Design: Assist in the development and optimization of engineering designs, participating in the conceptualisation and testing of prototypes and systems.
- Technical Research & Analysis: Conduct research on emerging technologies, assisting with technical evaluations and analyses for ongoing projects.
- Cybersecurity Implementations: Help with the implementation of security measures for systems and applications, identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities
- Collaboration & Assistance: Work closely with experienced engineers to help with project tasks, troubleshooting, and documentation. Provide support for both IT and OT projects as needed.
- Site Experience & Commissioning: Participate in site visits to support project deployments, conducting testing and commissioning activities to ensure systems are installed and functioning as designed.
You'll win us over by:
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Cybersecurity are preferable, but other related fields are welcome).
- A foundational understanding of engineering principles and familiarity with relevant software tools or programming languages (e.g., Python, C++, CAD tools, MATLAB, etc.).
- Exposure to cybersecurity concepts like network security, encryption, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and vulnerability scanning.
- Ability to analyse and address technical challenges with creativity and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with engineers and other stakeholders.
- A genuine interest in learning and growing in the engineering field, with a proactive approach to personal development.
