Job description

IT technology supported includes (but not limited to); Linux, Microsoft Window Servers, Outdoor wireless solution (Cisco Fluidmesh, Altai Wifi, Ruckus Wifi, etc), Cisco Networking, VMWare Virtualization, Data centre operation and OT Technologies.

This demand very high levels of skill in communication and diplomacy, a passion for problem resolution, solution derivation, project management, attention to detail, and around the clock service orientation.

• 2 years (option to convert to permanent subject to individual performance and business needs

• Project management which includes project scoping, schedule development, monitoring, tracking, control, risk identification, mitigation and ensuring quality of deliverables and costs.
• Provide advice on Network design and improvement and occasionally perform Network troubleshooting.
• Conduct review and assessment of existing IT infrastructure setup, this includes servers, virtualization, network, SAN, etc.
• Aligning the Business application infrastructure requirement to current IT infrastructure setup and suggest areas of improvement or change.
• Design and implement monitoring solution for both infrastructure and applications.
• Prepare RFP specifications to procure goods and services. Evaluate and select the right outsourcing partner at the right cost.
• Prepare detailed scope of work and job instructions to overseas Terminals IT teams and vendors.
• Supports implementation of new applications and changes to existing applications.

• Minimum 6-8 years hands-on experience in the following areas: Data Centre Build and Run, Network design/maintenance, Virtualization (Hyper-V/VMWare), SAN administration, Linux administration.
• Possess a good understanding of Cisco Networks and have perform LAN/WAN setup.
• Experience in various infrastructure and application monitoring tools and it’s deployment.
• Experience in scripting.
• Experienced in Project Management.
• Experienced in managing outsourcing contracts.
• Experience in middleware & databases will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of Cyber Security.
• Effective communication skills with all levels of users, both verbally and in writing.
• Willing to travel at short given notice.
• Some general knowledge of container terminal processes is a plus.
