The selection candidate is responsible for leading the strategic growth and development of the firm’s diversified offerings. He/she will add value to the firm’s growth with extensive industry experience to drive revenue growth, manage diverse client relationships, and ensure service excellence, while positioning Maybank Securities as a market leader in the leveraged products landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy Development:
- Identify growth opportunities in global markets, formulate and execute strategic sales plans to drive revenue and enhance market share.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and foster long-term relationships with institutional, corporate, and B2B clients.
- Partner with clients to understand their objectives and tailor solutions that align with their goals, ensuring superior service and satisfaction.
Market Insights and Analysis:
- Monitor regional and global market developments, competitor activities, and industry trends to inform strategic sales plans.
Collaboration and Coordination:
- Work closely with marketing, operations, product and business development teams to align sales initiatives with organizational objectives.
Operational Excellence:
- Continuously monitor market trends, emerging opportunities, regulatory changes, and competitive dynamics to refine sales approaches.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of regulatory requirements to ensure sales activities align with internal policies and external regulatory requirements, and safeguarding the firm’s reputation.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in any field
- At least 5 years of experience, with a proven track record in sales leadership, expertise in global markets, high-net-worth and B2B client segments
- Experience in Securities Borrowing and Lending (SBL) and Contract for Difference (CFD)
- Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, client engagement, and management skills.
- Fluency in English, with excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Certified in CMFAS Modules RES1A, RES2A, RES5, EM-EIP, EM-SIP (formerly known as Module 1A, 2A, 5, 6 and 6A)
