Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the quantity surveying process from pre-construction to post-construction, ensuring that all projects are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Tendering & Estimation: Prepare and submit tender documents, conduct tender analysis, and provide cost estimates. Carry out quantity take-offs and assess material and labor requirements.
• Contract Management: Review and negotiate contracts, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards. Identify discrepancies and resolve issues as necessary.
• Cost Control: Monitor and control project costs, track expenses, and ensure that the project stays within the allocated budget.
• Procurement & Sourcing: Request quotations and liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to obtain the best pricing for materials and services.
• Progress Monitoring: Track project progress and oversee monthly payments, claims, and final account settlements. Provide reports to management regarding financial status.
• Technical Review: Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and installation plans. Ensure accuracy in measurements and calculations.
• Site Visits: Conduct regular site visits to assess work completed, verify quantities, and ensure quality standards are met.
• Ad-Hoc Assignments: Assist with additional tasks as required to support the project team.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in quantity surveying within the construction or M&E sectors.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost estimation, and procurement processes.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, or other surveying tools).
