We’re looking for an Implementation and delivery Project Manager for SAS Singapore to serve as a customer liaison on solutions-related projects for our clients to assure success throughout the entire project life cycle. Responsible for all aspects of project management: the direction, planning and budgeting, coordination, implementation, execution, and completion of specific projects while ensuring consistency with SAS’ overall strategy, commitments, and goals.
You will be responsible for:
PS Project Management and Governance:
Represent Professional Services (PS) as the Project leader at multiple accounts. On occasion may be dedicated to a single account. Lead quality delivery assurance for an assigned team of PS staff and partners as they:
- Structure implementation approach for new opportunities, development strategy, staffing strategy (client, alliance partner, and SAS participation), and quantification of business benefits (ROI)
- Manage stakeholders (external and internal) while delivering service engagements. This includes providing timely status updates, managing expectations, and maintaining the utmost customer satisfaction
- Access, secure, and leverage appropriate resources (including the proposal process, staffing calls, triage and situation management, support, and partners) to ensure successful delivery.
- Deliver the sold project margin goal by managing write-offs and staff assignments within the project budget
- Manages customer expectations fully and acts as customer liaison.
- Ensures project designs and specifications provide a reliable blueprint for implementation.
- Provides leadership and drives customer success while overcoming barriers and satisfying staff, management, and stakeholder commitments.
- Resolves any conflict between the project and other organizational units in a satisfactory manner, including engaging management as necessary.
- Communicates project goals to those outside the project and engages management or leadership in other units as needed to ensure customer success.
- Ensure effective client project governance structure and activities are in place
- Completes engagement/project summary, project closeout procedures, and skills inventory updates at the end of the project.
- Assures overall customer satisfaction through project health checks, surveys, and Delivery Excellence agreements
- Direct project delivery including project progress tracking, change control, and the overall governance process.
- Leverages methodologies, enablers, and best practices to accelerate project delivery.
- Completes risk assessment documents for projects, meeting articulated criteria (sizeable financial concerns, heavy use of subcontractors, implementation of new solutions, etc.)
- Prepares sample or high-level project plans to satisfy customer requirements to close deals, identify potential implementation options and provide recommendations on implementation approaches.
- Oversees knowledge management activities of the delivery team using a knowledge server or comparable tool.
- Achieve quarterly revenue and margin contribution goals across their assigned portfolio
- Support the Consulting management in forecasting revenue, costs, and project progress in a timely manner
- Forecasts revenue and resource requirements for the duration of the project.
- Assume fiscal responsibility for the projects, including managing budget, expense management, timely invoicing, receivables tracking, and monitoring /managing subcontractor expenses along with consultants’ utilization.
- Responsible for business development within an assigned portfolio of accounts. This includes both license and services Permeation and Radiation.
- Enabling new account pursuit activities with the services sales force including solution conceptualization, project, and implementation sizing, writing work orders, and obtaining client signatures and support.
- Support and liaise with the Engagement Manager to work on proposals, SOWs, estimations for new services engagements, and Change Requests
- Act as a “closer” in the business development process for services work orders.
- Develop a weekly project-focused revenue forecast. Responsibilities include interfacing with sales and clients to define the iterative components of the overall solution roadmap, estimating project cost & duration, and managing opportunities through the financial forecast cycle.
- Assists in the response to RFIs and RFPs, utilizing the RFP Repository and coordinating the consulting resources that are providing the technical information.
- Facilitate services pipeline growth by actively listening for and capturing new service opportunities in target accounts.
- Supporting Engagement Managers, Lead Architects, and Consultants in the development of their consulting and client presentation skills.
- Contributes and helps to drive Industry / Regional strategy across the organization. Strategy to include repeatable and reusable services approach, sales, framework development, organizational requirements, staff development, etc.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher preferably in Computer Engineer/Science or quantitative field
- Experience delivering and selling services, and managing a project team to run multiple deliverables simultaneously (Data Management, Analytics, Solutions in Fraud, Risk, and AI/ML will be an advantage)
- Typically requires a minimum of 10-12 years of experience in managing Banking, Government, or Application projects
- Excellent facilitation skills, including meeting content/agenda and proactive/creative management of issues.
- Very good problem-solving, organizational, written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
- Excellence in presentation, multinational project management, and customer management skills.
