The Signature Research Programme in Health Services and Systems Research (HSSR) at Duke-NUS Medical School has built a mental health programme to improve mental health in Singapore and in the region by conducting high-quality research, fostering strong partnerships, and translating insights into policy and community impact.
The programme is seeking a full-time Research Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Principal Investigator and/or designate to support our growing portfolio of mental health research. This includes quantifying the prevalence and burden of mental health conditions, designing and evaluating mental health interventions, and improving mental healthcare decision-making, access, and delivery models.
We are looking to hire a Research Assistant (RA) that will support the following activities:
- Desk research and synthesis of findings for literature reviews.
- Assist with the preparation and submission of human subject research ethics protocols.
- Assist with the preparation and dissemination of research surveys.
- Analyse survey data and synthesise key findings.
- Contribute to manuscript writing based on findings from literature reviews and research surveys.
- Disseminate research findings through various modalities, including but not limited to workshops, articles, blogs, social media posts, etc.
- Assist with budget revisions, timelines, and progress reports for funders.
- Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein, including contributing to administrative and coordination activities
- Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or other related disciplines.
- A strong team player with a demonstrated ability to work flexibly and independently, interact and work with stakeholders and team members across various functions and levels in an organisation.
- Possess strong writing and critical thinking skills, as well as good communication and presentation skills.
- Keen interest in mental health. Prior experience as a research coordinator/research assistant or other related positions would be advantageous.
