VP – Credit Risk Manager (Wealth Management)

Our client, a well-established financial institution with a strong presence in Asia Pacific region. Their Credit Risk division is looking for a VP - Credit Risk Manager to join them in their Credit Risk – Wealth Management Function.
Approve/recommend breaches of portfolio standards/criteria, to the extent permitted by Credit Policy. Supervise the team member’s timely submission and accuracy of Credit Risk MI reports and MAS reports. Supervise the team member’s preparing facility letter and other credit-related documents of Lombard Lending accounts, granting facility in system and managing post-lending/post-approval conditions.
Monitor the portfolio, manage margin call and limit excesses on Lombard Lending accounts. Monitoring compliance with credit policy and portfolio standards/criteria periodically and reviewing any divergence. Initiate stress tests periodically as required by internal and external factors and review results and assess the implications.
Ensure risk capabilities are objective, consistent and compliant with applicable regulations. Review SG Procedures, discuss, and seek sign-off locally and from Head Office. Liaise with internal & external legal counsel on foreign Legal Opinions and registration of security charge.
Attend to queries and provide advisory to SG staff. Job Requirement Degree in relevant discipline from a recognized university. Minimum 8 years of experience in Banking industry (including Credit Risk Management of Private Banking business, having a background/ understanding of corporate banking business will be a bonus) Sound private banking background, preferably experience in Lombard lending and investment products know-how.
Have hands on experience working on data analytics, basic knowledge on Excel functions such as VBA Macro. Have worked using Avaloq system will be a plus. Regulatory framework and requirement: awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the bank operates and the regulatory requirements of Private Banking.
