We are looking for a System Engineer to join the team in Singapore. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Linux system administration and experience supporting Windows servers. This role involves managing, maintaining, and optimizing both Linux and Windows environments to ensure high availability, performance, and security across our IT infrastructure.

Systems Engineer (Linux, Windows)

Job Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain Linux servers, ensuring optimal performance, security, and uptime.
Provide support and administration for Windows servers, including updates, patch

management, and troubleshooting.

Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to prevent

recurrence.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy, configure, and manage server

infrastructure.

Automate routine tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) to improve

efficiency and reduce manual workload.

Perform regular system audits, backups, and recovery processes to ensure data integrity

and system reliability.

Document system configurations, procedures, and changes for future reference and

knowledge sharing.

Stay updated on the latest technologies and best practices for Linux and Windows server

management.

Provide technical support for end-users and resolve any system-related issues.
Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support as needed.

Job Requirements:

Degree / Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
At least 3 years of experience in System Engineer or a related field.
Proven experience in Linux system administration, with strong knowledge of various Linux

distributions (e.g., CentOS, Ubuntu, Red Hat).

Hands-on experience with Windows server administration, including Active Directory,

Group Policy, and server management tools.

Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation and system

management.

Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex system

issues.

Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, KVM) and cloud platforms (e.g.,

AWS, Azure) is a plus.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Professional certifications in RHCE, MCSE) are a plus.
Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Knowledge of networking concepts and security best practices.
Experience working in an enterprise or data centre environment.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Customer-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality service.
Ability to adapt to new technologies and continuously improve technical skills.
Proactive and self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility.
