About the role

We are seeking a driven Retail Associate/Executive to join the team at The American Club. This role will play a vital part in delivering an exceptional service experience for our members.

'Essentials' is our members' go-to retail store for everyday needs. It carries basic grocery items, health supplements, organic pantry staples, pharmacy products and more. It also offers dry cleaning and overseas courier service – all these in one neat shop!

• Provide outstanding customer service, assistance and providing appropriate product/service recommendations to members
• Maintain a tidy and visually appealing retail space
• Monitoring product replenishment, stock management and inventory control
• Processing sales transactions efficiently and accurately
• Collaborating with the retail team to implement merchandising and promotional initiatives
• Resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner
• Assist in laundry counter operations, including checking of laundry items for stains and ensuring the count of items tallies with the receipt
• Ensure proper handling and tagging of laundry items for accurate processing and collection
• Address member inquiries related to laundry services and provide assistance where needed
• Follow up with the laundry partner on any discrepancies or issues to ensure prompt resolution
• Analyzing sales performance within the department and optimizing sales opportunities
• Perform basic administrative duties as assigned

• At least 1 year of experience in a retail or customer service role
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of presentation
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to multitask effectively
• Detail-oriented with good organizational skills
• A positive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to learn
