Key Responsibilities
- OPERATIONAL SUPPORT:
- Assist in coordinating and managing the end-to-end Importer of Record (IOR) / Exporter of Record (EOR) process for global shipments.
- Communicate with customers, freight forwarders, and customs authorities to ensure smooth clearance and timely delivery of goods.
- Review shipping documents, such as invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin, to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- DOCUMENTATION MANAGEMENT:
- Maintain accurate and well-organized records of shipments, customs entries, and compliance-related documentation.
- Assist in preparing essential import/export compliance documents, including import licenses, permits, and declarations.
- CUSTOMER COMMUNICATION:
- Serve as a key point of contact for customers, providing timely updates on shipment status and addressing inquiries.
- Work closely with customers to gather necessary information and ensure compliance with local regulations.
- REGULATORY COMPLIANCE:
- Stay informed about evolving customs regulations and trade policies across various countries.
- Ensure that all shipments adhere to relevant trade and customs requirements.
- ISSUE RESOLUTION:
- Identify and resolve operational issues, including document discrepancies or customs holds.
- Escalate critical issues to the operations manager when necessary.
- REPORTING & ANALYSIS:
- Assist in preparing regular reports on shipment and operational performance.
- Analyze data to identify trends and recommend process improvements.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
- Diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
EXPERIENCE:
- 2-3 years of experience in logistics or supply chain operations.
- Familiarity with IOR/EOR processes is an advantage.
SKILLS:
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and logistics management systems.
- A problem-solving mindset and ability to work under pressure.
KNOWLEDGE:
- Understanding of customs documentation and international trade regulations.
- Knowledge of APAC trade regulations is a plus.
