Compliance Manager / Officer

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with MAS regulations, including the Securities and Futures Act (SFA), AML/CFT guidelines, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
• Develop, implement, and review compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure adherence to regulatory obligations.
• Conduct compliance risk assessments and provide advisory support to management and business units.
• Monitor regulatory developments and update internal policies accordingly.
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports and filings to MAS and other relevant authorities.
• Oversee AML/KYC due diligence processes, including onboarding and ongoing monitoring of clients and transactions.
• Conduct internal audits and compliance training for employees to enhance awareness of regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with regulators, auditors, and other stakeholders on compliance matters.
• Investigate and report compliance breaches, ensuring timely resolution and implementation of corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate compliance records and documentation for audit and regulatory review.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in compliance, preferably in an FMC, asset management, or financial services firm.
• Strong understanding of MAS regulations, AML/CFT requirements, and fund management compliance.
• Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements and risk management frameworks.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with regulators, auditors, and internal teams.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
