Job Description

We are seeking an experienced MDM Architect to oversee technical MDM architecture in NUS. The role will manage the technical architecture of MDM data platform and solution architecture. This role will also manage the MDM systems development, maintenance, and operations.

This is a hands-on role, and the candidate should have recent hands-on MDM development experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and support MDM platform required for optimal inbound, validation, match and merge, remediation, outbound, and synchronisation.
• Design the MDM end-to end solution including inbound and outbound interfaces to source and consumer systems.
• Create, manage, and document optimal MDM solution architecture.
• Define and champion the direction for MDM platform and their technologies, including their framework, architecture, standards, and guidelines.

• Lead the MDM technical delivery.
• Ensure MDM best practices, architecture, and standards are followed.
• Design, develop, test, and implement MDM systems.
• Oversee MDM systems maintenance, operations, and continuous improvements.

• Collaborate with data product, source systems, consumer systems, and infrastructure teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
• Provide direction and guidance to teams (both inside and outside of NUS IT) on working with the MDM platform.
• Collaborate with university departments on any technical solutioning required to support MDM requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience with a focus on MDM architecture and engineering.
• Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams, promoting collaboration and achieving the objectives of programme and initiatives.
• Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with a track record of effectively addressing technical challenges and risk mitigation.
• Demonstrated strategic thinking and planning abilities, capable of aligning technical projects with organizational goals and market demands.
• Relevant experience in designing, developing, and supporting MDM platforms, having successfully completed projects in MDM projects delivery.
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact and communicate effectively with all levels of management, users, and vendors.
• Must be a good team player, proactive in nature, fast learner, highly organized and go-getter attitude with can-do spirit.

• Strong working experience in end-to-end architecture, development, and maintenance of MDM systems using TIBCO EBX.
• Strong data profiling analysis and data quality issue resolution skills.
• Strong inbound and outbound data interface skills for real-time and batch processing using APIs, ETL, DB Views, and other relevant methods.
• Strong working experience in Microsoft SQL, Oracle, including SQL programming and performance tuning.
• Strong working experience and knowledge of MDM and data management practices in general.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assimilate business questions and information and communicate complex requirements and issues clearly.
• Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact and communicate effectively with different levels of users and vendors.
• Must be a good team player, proactive in nature, fast learner, highly organized and positive attitude.
