About the Organisation and Role

Singapore Institute of Directors (SID) is Singapore’s national association for company directors. Formed in 1998, its mission is to uplift the directorship profession and champion good governance. Its membership comprises board directors, company leaders, and professionals with an interest in corporate governance.

A Governing Council guides the direction and work of the organisation, and SID Committees comprise industry professionals, academics and corporate governance experts.

The Accreditation & Professional Development team, which you will be a part of, oversees the development of accreditation frameworks and tools, as well as new programmes and courses to support the strengthening of SID's positioning in the market as a thought leader for all things directorship and/or governance, and a standard bearer for good governance.

As part of your role, you will report to the Head of Learning and Development, and work with the Vice President, Accreditation & Professional Development. Your role will also include working with SID’s Accreditation & Professional Development Committee, the SID Executive Team, eco-system partners, and any other relevant committees or working groups as assigned by the CEO.

Key Responsibilities:

You will support the Learning and Development team primarily in the following areas:

  1. Training Programme Operations
  • Coordinate with speakers and knowledge partners to consolidate and update programme content and materials.
  • Leverage learning technologies that facilitate online learning. This will include video conferencing, content sharing and other tools for synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences.
  • Support Programme Leads for on the day operations and post-event activities by preparing introductory decks, participant attendance sheets, evaluation forms, and programme notifications and other logistics.
  • Work with venue providers to secure suitable venues and manage the procurement process.
  • Track and deliver presentations, reports, and proposals on key programme metrices, programme updates and achievements with internal and external stakeholders.
  1. Marketing and Communications
  • Provide quality participant experience by handling on the day queries or queries received via the SID hotline and mailbox.
  • Support in the development of marketing and communication collaterals to effectively engage potential programme participants. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, membership, communications and accreditation teams.
  • Support the design and development of programme materials, such as training materials, resources, and tools.
  1. Secretariat Duties
  • Provide secretariat duties to SID Committees and/or Chapters including supporting the agenda and activities of the Committee and/or Chapter.
  • Work with Vice President, Accreditation & Professional Development for the application of quality assurance, funding or standards certification.
  1. Any other assigned work

Requirements:

  • Minimum Diploma in any discipline.
  • Familiar with learning technologies and possess a basic understanding of curriculum, pedagogy and assessment concepts.
  • Some familiarity in managing business or training related operations.
  • Organised and detail oriented.
  • Prior experience in account management.
  • Possesses competencies in the areas of training operations
