Job Description:

We are looking for a proactive and motivated Level 1 Support Engineer to provide first-level technical support for operating systems, middleware, and container platforms within a dynamic IT infrastructure environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Incident Resolution:
Act as the first point of contact for technical issues related to OS, middleware, and container platforms. Troubleshoot and resolve basic incidents promptly.
  • System Monitoring and Maintenance:
Monitor system health, performance, and availability. Conduct routine maintenance to ensure platform stability and efficiency.
  • Basic Troubleshooting and Diagnosis:
Diagnose and resolve commonly encountered issues. Escalate unresolved or complex incidents to the appropriate higher-level support teams.
  • Log Collection and Analysis:
Gather and analyse system logs to aid in troubleshooting and root cause identification.
  • Collaboration and Escalation:

Work closely with cross-functional teams to address issues. Escalate incidents effectively when advanced expertise or resources are required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Technical Skills:
  • Basic understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux).
  • Familiarity with middleware technologies.
  • Exposure to containerization platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of system monitoring and alerting tools.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts and connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Communication Skills:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to document issues, steps taken, and solutions clearly for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Customer Service Orientation:
  • Committed to delivering excellent support and ensuring user satisfaction through professional interactions.
  • Time Management & Multitasking:
  • Ability to manage multiple incidents in a high-paced environment.
  • Prioritize and respond to service requests in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Accuracy in configuration, log review, and issue resolution to maintain quality and prevent recurrence.
  • This role involves rotational shifts, based on operational needs. Office-based role with occasional remote troubleshooting responsibilities.
