Investment Assistant Manager/ Venture Capital/ Corporate investment (REF:TYL)

• Japanese MNC
• 3–5 years of experience in venture capital, corporate investment, or business development in energy transition or maritime/logistics.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Startup Scouting & Evaluation: Identify and assess startups that align with the company’s sustainability and innovation goals.
• Due Diligence: Conduct in-depth financial modeling, market research, and risk assessments to evaluate potential investment opportunities.
• Investment Structuring: Assist in structuring deals and evaluating their financial feasibility.
• Partnership Development: Engage with startup founders, industry partners, and venture capital networks to explore new business opportunities and collaborations.
• Portfolio Management: Support portfolio companies by identifying collaboration opportunities within the company and ensuring mutual growth.

• Electrification Projects: Support the development of energy storage solutions, onshore power supply (OPS), and port decarbonization initiatives to reduce the carbon footprint.
• Feasibility Studies & Market Analysis: Assess market potential, feasibility, and impact of electrification and energy transition projects in the company’s assets and operations.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with regulators, energy providers, technology companies, and other stakeholders to structure and negotiate partnerships for energy transition solutions.
• Investment Assessments: Evaluate emerging technologies such as vanadium flow batteries and microgrids for their investment potential in energy storage solutions.
• Business Proposal & Pilot Projects: Develop business proposals and support the coordination of pilot projects related to electrification and low-carbon energy initiatives.

• Strong analytical skills, with experience in financial analysis, investment due diligence, and market research.
• Knowledge of decarbonization technologies, energy storage solutions, and maritime electrification trends.
• Ability to engage with multiple stakeholders, including startups, regulators, and infrastructure partners.
• Strong communication, project management, and strategic thinking skills.
