Key Responsibilities:
- Business Growth & Market Expansion:
- Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities in commercial, residential, infrastructure, and government construction projects.
- Develop and execute business strategies that align with the company’s long-term goals.
- Establish relationships with developers, contractors, consultants, and government bodies to secure contracts.
- Keep up with industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging market opportunities.
- Client & Stakeholder Management:
- Leverage existing industry connections to generate leads and partnerships.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers, including project owners, investors, and regulatory authorities.
- Ensure client satisfaction and act as the company’s key representative during negotiations and project discussions.
- Tendering, Contracts & Negotiation:
- Oversee the preparation of tenders, RFQs, and proposals, ensuring competitive pricing and compliance with project requirements.
- Lead contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms for the company while managing risks effectively.
- Collaborate with the legal and finance teams to review contracts and mitigate potential liabilities.
- Revenue & Profitability Management:
- Drive revenue growth by securing profitable projects and ensuring healthy cash flow.
- Monitor market pricing trends to optimize bidding strategies and project profitability.
- Work with finance and operations teams to track project financial performance and adjust business strategies accordingly.
- Leadership & Team Development:
- Lead and mentor a team of business development managers and sales executives.
- Collaborate with project management, engineering, and commercial teams to align business goals with operational capabilities.
- Foster a results-driven and relationship-focused business development culture within the organization.

Required Experience & Skills:
Industry Experience:
- Minimum 10-15 years of experience in business development, sales, or project acquisition within the construction sector.
- Proven track record of securing multi-million dollar construction contracts.
- Extensive industry network, including contacts in government agencies, developers, and major contractors.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong Negotiation Skills: Ability to close high-value deals and navigate complex contract terms.
- Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of construction industry trends, pricing, and procurement processes.
- Leadership & Influence: Experience managing a team and driving strategic business decisions.
- Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of project costing, profit margins, and commercial risk assessment.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to think strategically and find solutions to market challenges.
- Communication & Relationship Building: Excellent interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders at all levels.
