Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for recruitment and selection of suitable candidates and liaising with hiring managers to fill positions expeditiously, and coordinating onboarding.
  • Collaborate with line managers to identify and document the essential competencies and key skills required for each job level, ensuring compliance with ISO9001 standards.
  • Partner with line managers to develop and implement On-the-Job Training (OJT) checklists that align with identified competencies.
  • Work closely with line managers to assess business manpower needs and develop strategies to fulfill those needs in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Processing of monthly payroll in a timely manner, including computation of overtime and commissions.
  • Manage the performance management system, including goal setting, performance reviews, and feedback.
  • Administer employee benefits, including insurance, leave, and other entitlements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing guidance and support.
  • Investigate and resolve employee grievances and disciplinary issues fairly and promptly.
  • Collaborate with managers to address employee-related matters and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate effective communication and engagement between the management and employees.
  • Contribute to developing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Contribute actively to the team's efforts in transitioning to a new HR Management System (HRMS).
Qualifications and Skills
  • Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, preferably major in HRM and with IHRP-CA or CP certification
  • At least 3 years of strong human resources experience in a generalist role, preferably in a unionised manufacturing environment
  • Excellent working knowledge of labour legislation e.g. CPF, Employment Act etc.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and also part of a team.
  • Supervisory, organisational and coordination skills with other qualities like perseverance, independence, initiative etc.
