Bukit Merah - Java Production Support

Job Summary:

This role requires adaptability, technical proficiency, and a willingness to work in rotational shifts, including night shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, enhance, and maintain applications using Unix and Java technologies.
• Provide basic production support, including incident management, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting.
• Work on databases like Oracle and MariaDB for querying, maintenance, and optimization.
• Manage message queues (MQ) and integrate with KAFKA for data streaming and messaging.
• Deploy and manage applications on OpenShift and other containerized environments.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and BitBucket.
• Monitor application performance and provide proactive support to prevent downtime.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and operations.
• Handle shift-based responsibilities, including night shifts, to ensure 24/7 application availability.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 4–5 years of experience in Unix, Java development, and production support.
• Proficiency in Oracle and MariaDB databases, including basic querying and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with KAFKA, OpenShift, and message queues (MQ).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and BitBucket.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for resolving production issues.
• Ability to adapt to rotational shifts, including night shifts.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of DevOps practices and automation.
• Experience in handling high-availability systems in a production environment.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies.
